Types Of Photography Lighting

Whether capturing photos of products or shooting portraits or other images. Achieving great photos of publishable quality, does require some photographic ability whether natural or learned. Photographers often utilize photography equipment such as muslin backdrops and photo lighting kits or lighting stands to highlight the subject. Often times a back light or fill light will be employed as well to eliminate any shadowing affects in the background of the images.

Pro photographers who shoot modeling shots or portraiture will often use strobe flash lighting to achieve the best results in their photos. Using strobe or flash lighting, synchronzied timing of the camera’s shutter to work in time with the flash is required.

Though for some photography enthusiasts, they can also choose to utilize a different type of photo studio equipment such as continuous lighting. This type of photo studio lighting is found in Fluorescent and Halogen photography equipment. They are commonly known and referred to as hot lights and are very simply to operate without the requirement of synchronization like flash lighting does. Once the light stands are in position, photographers can simply turn on their lighting source and begin.

Halogen studio lighting bulbs burn brighter and produce more heat in doing so. If you use this type of continuous lighting, the heat in your home or studio will not only rise but your electric bill will rise as well. Fluorescent studio lighting stands or kits in contrast, operate with less electricity and produce nearly no heat at all. With saying that, these bulbs don’t burn as brightly as halogen bulbs do. To counter that, photographers who want to use fluorescent for it’s coolness and energy efficiency simply choose a higher wattage lighting kit to overcome any luminosity differences in output.

The various choices for photographers with the availability of modern photographic lighting equipment have been greatly improved in both quality and options. Photo studio lighting kits in digital form for instance, can be found in both halogen and fluorescent types of photo lighting sources.

Photography equipment is designed to enable photographers , regardless of whether they are a professional or a beginner to be able to elevate the quality of their photographic images on a consistent basis. Bringing both the photo’s and the craft of photography to an elevated level.

Importance of Astrology in Our Daily Lives – Lunar Eclipse – August 5, 2009

Posted by – September 30, 2009

Astrology

The lunar eclipse occurs halfway through the solar cycle where the nodal axis rests. Since last May the nodal axis has been in Cancer/Capricorn.

A couple of weeks ago we had a very powerful solar eclipse in cancer. This eclipse is compelling us to concentrate on issues related to trusting our feelings and intuition. It throws down a very important and complicated challenge to us all. We must examine the difference between our emotions and our deeper, intuitive wisdom. It’s very confusing area of life that many people have a hard time even recognizing, let alone examining.

Our feelings feel like our feelings, what’s the difference between “emotions”, “intuition” – it all feels the same. Well, they’re not only different, they’re completely opposite. Our intuition is the source of our wisdom as a being – and the wisdom of all beings. Our emotions take us totally away from that wisdom. Intuition is calm and peaceful – like the surface of a lake with no waves. The emotions are extreme. Wave after wave. When we look at the surface of a lake with no waves, we can see all the way to the bottom. It is clear. But drop just one pebble into the water and it creates enough ways obscure our vision. We can’t see to the bottom anymore. The same thing is true with our mind. The waves of emotion obscure our true nature.

Yet many times we say “I’m so intuitive” or “I’m just going to trust my intuition here” and we make terrible mistakes. We were not trusting our intuition – we were trusting our emotions. The emotions are based on our fears – our desires – they are very biased toward what we want and certain buttons that are pushed based on our past conditioning, habits and routines – what is familiar, what we’re comfortable with – not necessarily what is good for us. That’s why if we had a difficult past, we will gravitate toward difficult experiences in the future.

When we are deciding what to do, we will tell ourselves that we’re following our “intuition”. But it usually is not our intuition, unless we’ve calmed our mind in some way. This process and connection to our emotional life originates from the moon and is expressed through the sign of cancer, where we have this current solar eclipse cycle.

Ok, back to astrology.

We need to make a long-term plan in life, (Capricorn) but to implement those plans we will need to master a series of moments. Everything in life happens now, regardless of our plans. Once that moment arrives we may or may not feel like following through with what we decided earlier. If we don’t feel like following through, we simply won’t do it. It’s very easy for our ego to tell ourselves “I don’t feel like it now” and that is good enough.

Examining this process of how our feelings in the moment undermine our plans, has a lot to do with this eclipse. For instance, you get a gym membership or you tell yourself you want to take better care of your health, eating habits, etc. You make a long term plan (Capricorn). You go to the gym a few times, and then you never go again. Why? — because you don’t feel like it. It’s outside your comfort zone (cancer) and you lack the discipline (Mars) to follow through.

This lunar eclipse in Capricorn is a time to psychologically examine these long-term plans and how unfulfilled you feel around them. The full moon is always the balancing point for the new moon cycle, We get the chance to implement a lesson in each new moon cycle (Cancer this month), and become aware of the opposite on the full moon (Capricorn now).

Two weeks ago when I discuss the solar eclipse in cancer, I knew it was confusing for many, and it still probably is. But I wonder if now that the full moon is in Capricorn, the balancing point of cancer, the message is not more clear now.

We tend to base all of our decisions on how we feel in the moment, not on what is best for the situation. This is the difficulty of cancer and this powerful solar eclipse is an opportunity to make an adjustment. We can actually base our decisions on what is correct and appropriate for the goals we have. Enlightened masters do this. One moment arrives and they spontaneously know what to do. Whether they “like it or not”, is not an issue. Such as, our physical fitness needs, our dietary needs (a huge one) and other goals and plans we have that simply disappear because in the moment “I don’t feel like it now”.

This eclipse is joined Jupiter, retrograde and very powerful. Even though Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn. It is very close to the Earth (retrograde) and therefore neecha banga. A planet in this situation becomes a powerful internal, psycho-spiritual influence. The nature of Jupiter – teachers and gurus – can buttress your capacity be determined and stick to your goals and gain remarkable insight into the process I’m talking about.

In general, we all need to be pushed out of our comfort zone now. The world has changed, and it’s going to continue to change. The biggest reason we find ourselves in this mess globally is due to this issue. Everyone is scared about what’s coming next, for no reason. The main reason they’re scared is because they are afraid of getting shaken out of their comfort zone. We’ll guess what folks, we don’t have much choice anymore, the game has changed – the comfort zone is going to shift – from the material to the spiritual – AND THANK GOD FOR THAT!

This eclipse cycle in Cancer is a great and necessary opportunity to become more mature (Capricorn) around life decisions.

This full moon in Capricorn is providing a creative, balancing point – a determined, practical psychological awakening. Buttressed by a very powerful Jupiter, there are many blessings in store for those willing to step out of their comfort zone and do what is best for their souls awakening.

How To Tell If You Might Need a Gum Graft?

Posted by – September 30, 2009

dental health

The question “How do you know if you need a gum graft?” is often asked by people who meet a dentist in a social setting or at some function or another with some frequency. This is a bit surprising, considering how most people not only don’t want to see a dentist but how they never want to meet up with one in any sort of setting, dental-related or not. Those with gum disease are at particular risk of requiring such a treatment.

For some reason, the thought of having to be treated by a dentist chills people far more than having to be treated by a medical doctor. Perhaps, though, if people would take better care of their teeth the annual visit to the dentist wouldn’t be quite so unsettling to many. Regarding the matter of gum grafts, which seem to be more common with every passing year, there are a few indicators of possible need. Those who use an oral irrigator, such as the hydrofloss, might have a better chance of avoiding gum disease.

For one, a person would benefit from a grafting might have a root exposed, though he or she wouldn’t be able to see it just by looking in the mirror. Generally, it’s painful to brush that exposed root. Also, a dentist might see a lot of plaque buildup on the same root or the root of the tooth may even be decayed. A good graft can cover and even protect that root from further harm.

Another good indicator that a gum graft might be called for is what dentist’s call “tooth hypersensitivity.” Just the phrase is enough to conjure an ache of the tooth, most people would say. Many times, covering that hypersensitive root area with a gum graft can help eliminate such sensations. Lastly, an exposed or decaying root can make a tooth look unattractive. A graft can help correct that.

Gum graft surgery has a high success rate and complete healing of the gum and the area of the palate from which the tissue that goes onto the gum was taken will usually take from 4 to 8 weeks. About 14 days after surgery, the tissue over that donor site will begin to thicken and pain in the area will decrease markedly.

Transformers 2 – Revenge of the Fallen – Movie Review

Posted by – September 30, 2009

It’s no top secret that I loved Michael Bay’s first attempt at the transformers license so the last pair of weeks I have been favorably anticipating this show analysis some of the movie critics opinions on the other hand I was concerned that vengeance of the fallen was going to be a bad motion picture nevertheless my well again sense was significant me that this movie was being bashed on so much since of Michael Bays group with it.

MichaelBay may not be the utmost story teller animate he may not even be a good one but he unquestionably knows how to make a good battle motion picture Bad Boys, Armageddon, Pearl Harbour and The Rock are good examples of Bay’s astonishing accomplishment sequences.

Since the first Transformers movie possessions have progressed a bit and the Autobots (good Guys) have teamed up with the U.S Army to fight the remaining Decepticons (bad guys) that have taken sanctuary and are defeat in plain sight on our planet globe lair As for the Humans in the story Sam has made his way to seminary while Mikaela has stayed at the rear of to work in her father’s auto garage putting in motorcycles and by and large in receipt of hot and slippery which will no doubt have visitors the older boys in the cinema.

When old enemies seek payback it is up to Sam, Mikaela, the Auto Bots and the whole U.S Army to save the day.

largelythis movie isn’t so separate from the in the beginning the plot is nice-looking much the same as both the good guys and bad guys are rebellious over some sort of piece that will give them immense power and with it they will be able to rule the the human race The font in this movie are also comparable to the first film Sam comes off as a funny and fascinating Teen while Mikaela oozes with sexiness.

This is the result to an moving motion picture so I well projected Bay to go all out with his explosions and act and he sure does deliver I chosen the first transformers movie conversely That doesn’t mean this film is bad it just lacks a sure magic that I think the first one had, I exceedingly enjoyed Transformers 2 and well look pass on to the third in the trilogy.

Sports pyschology and its effects on teens and their families

Posted by – September 30, 2009

One of the interesting aspects of the American culture is its obssession to sports. We make the sports stars very rich by idolizing them.It is important to us that our pro sports team win all the time. We even sometimes affect the sports that our children play.So much so that it can get bad at times.

I have noticed this trend running a family therapist San Diego service. These games will sometimes get out of hand due to teenagers and parents putting so much stress on it.It will not happen all the time but the thing is it still does happen.Counseling will be needed at those times.

I have noticed this many times when parents stress so much in their children that they will be needing a counselor or a psychologist.  I have a lot of parents come into my sports psychologist San Diego office wanting too much out of their kids. A lot of stress and problems will be caused by this. Strains in their relationships will sometimes form if this happens. So rather than needing help succeeding in sports they need help resolving some family issues.

Those are the times when some teenagers feel that they need help.  I help a lot of teens in my teen counseling San Diego work who can’t take the pressure it puts on them.  So when that happens it is time not to just work with the teens but to work with the family. With some good counseling and advice a lot of the problems can be resolved.

These should be attended to immediately if it happens because these are extreme cases. It is now time for us to control our obsession on sports.  If we are able to do that we can make strained relationships loving once again. But it is the way to resolve it.  To attack it early and stop problems from getting worse. This will result to a happy and productive families.

With a history of over 1,300 years, this originally folk art is now practiced by many highly skillful professional artists. Find a personal shopping assistant to go on a personal tour in Beijing to buy unique, elegant dough figurines in some of the most special local shops.

Usually made of wheat flour or glutinous rice, Chinese dough figurines are characterized by their incredibly small sizes, lifelike features, and beautiful, vivid expressions. Because, unlike stones and metals, dough is incredibly soft and flexible, artists can effortlessly make the details on a work into different shapes. Compared to figurines made of hard materials like porcelain or metal, figurines made of dough, with their smooth, warm appearances, are especially good at bringing out the “human” aspect of art.

The origin of Chinese dough figurine is unknown. The earliest works found in archaeoligical site date back to the Tang dynasty, about 1,300 years ago. Dough figurines became popular during the Song dynasty, when people started to make works to celebrate festivals.

Cultural Note: A legend says Chinese dough figurines were invented by Zhuge Kongming, a famous military leader from the Three Kingdoms period. Zhuge’s army once tried to get across the Lu River to catch up with the enemies on the other side, but was stopped by the huge waves caused by unusually strong wind. One of Zhuge’s advisors suggested the sacrifice of 49 human heads to appease the god who controlled the river, but instead Zhuge used 49 heads made of dough. This trick succeeded, and later people began to practiced the tradition of making dough heads.

The status of dough figurines being a folk art was elevated to a formal art during the Ming and Qing dynasty, when serious artists from many places in China specialized in making and selling dough figurines. Advantages of water birthing

Posted by – September 29, 2009

Water birth is a method of delivering a baby that is still not common but is now gaining popularity among mothers. This method is unlike the other methods where they require patients to lie on a medical bed.  But it is a safe method of having baby.

So what we are going to do is take a look at this particular process of giving birth and looking at its advantages. These are going to come from experience that I have gained as a San Diego midwife.Water birth is the method of giving birth to a baby while the mother is submerged in water.  Usually in a tub of warm water. It is said to be good for the baby because the baby also lived in a similar environment for almost 9 months. The babies have been in water inside the mother's womb for 9 months and using this method helps the babies get adjusted.

There are also studies where it is shown to be beneficial in reducing birthing pains. That is a big relief for women to hear. Medicine is rarely used in this kind of delivery method.  I have performed many without medicine as well as many other midwives San Diego I have spoken with.

Is water birthing a safe way to deliver a baby?It is safe to use for most of the cases as studies have shown.Due to certain medical conditions,in some cases, it isn't advisable to use. I have had that happen in my water birth San Diego service. Consulting a doctor first is the best thing to do.

Another benefit of undergoing water birthing is lessened skin tears. This can be very painful when giving birth. But if you choose this kind of delivery then that possiblity will be lessened.Because it eases the skin.

This kind of delivery can be the right choice for you if you just follow these steps. It has a lot of benefits for both the baby and the mother. But go see and ask your doctor first if this is the right method for you.

Steps on how to lessen your expenditures on auto repair

Posted by – September 29, 2009

All of us know that it is expensive to have our car fixed and maintained.  When your car is new there isn't much repairs or maintenance that you need.  But as it ages it will need more care.So let's look at the ways to avoid spending too much when going to an auto shop.

In my San Diego auto repair shop I hear so many stories of people getting ripped off when they take their car to an auto shop.  From paying too much or getting repairs they don't need, it happens all the time.So what are the ways to avoid this?Keeping your car maintained is the best that you can do to avoid expenses.Don't wait for your car to break before you do something.Maintain it in its best condition.

One of the best ways to keep your car in shape is to have regular tune ups. This will prevent any problems from coming up.Your engine will also be running smoothly when you do this.Regular visits for tune-ups of your car will save you a lot of money from repairs in the long run. One of the things caused by not properly tuning up your car is not passing the smog test.  I have seen older cars in my San Diego smog check shop that if they were taken care of they would have passed the smog test.  This can lead to many more problems.

Another part of the car that gets neglected is the brakes. The brakes are one part of the car that might surprise a lot of car owners. It suprises them when they find out how expensive it is to repair.  Believe me, I see the look on the faces of my customers of my San Diego brake shop when they see how expensive it can be.But if they just took good care of the brakes of their car they could have avoided it.

Taking care of your car to so as not to get ripped is the main point here. For shops to say that a regularly maintained car will have less is wrong.
